Sue Lynn Wood, who lives in Valdez, Alaska, with her husband and their pet Ruffy, was born in Portland, Oregon, and moved to Valdez in 1999 after becoming enamored with Alaska. “Sue Lynn Wood” is a pseudonym that honors three generations of women from her maternal lineage, and she currently works full-time as a proud member of IBEW 1547 at the local electric utility and plans to retire next year. Inspired by recent changes in her life, Sue decided to share her poetry to honor her true self. This collection celebrates her journey of self-discovery and artistic expression, represented by the Phoenix Butterfly metaphor.
