We started with the thought of doing something of our own but had no idea what. After venturing into multiple directions, getting engulfed in different businesses, we still had the fire burning inside of us. Nothing would satiate our drive, because nothing was connecting on a deeper level, nothing was using our creative energies.
Then on one day at a marriage, I saw a transaction happen, an emotional one, a mother giving her jewellery to her daughter which was being passed on through generations. I was moved, that a single piece of jewellery has such emotional significance, it’s not just jewellery but contains an era worth of memories and feelings. And it was clear then, what we wanted to do.
We started Bafna in 2006, keeping that emotion intact, promising ourselves that purity will never leave Bafna, and everything we do will be born out of love.
