The park's original overall theme was that of a journey of exploration on a live steam locomotive, where guests depart from the main station to visit themed mountains and islands, all emphasizing adventure. Initially, the park was to have three islands. However, the islands and train rides had to be curtailed due to the downturn in the economy after demonetizations. Madan Patil's Dinosaurs Park plans to host approximately 1 million guests annually, ranking it among the first ten amusement parks in India.
