Dr. Mayur Patel is a Texas native who earned his Bachelor of Science and Arts with Highest Honors in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (McGovern Medical School).

Dr. Patel completed his psychiatry residency at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in New York, where he played an active role in developing and expanding the Spravato® (esketamine) treatment program to improve access for patients with treatment-resistant depression. He has also completed certification in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) through the Academy of Brain Stimulation, further strengthening his expertise in evidence-based interventional psychiatry.

Dr. Patel is now practicing at Premier Pain Centers and Premier Psychiatry, where he provides comprehensive psychiatric care with a focus on medication management, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, and advanced therapies including Spravato® and TMS. His approach emphasizes compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based care to help patients achieve lasting improvements in their mental health and quality of life.
