Macula is responsible for the eye vision, the protein name VEGF which producing excess protein stimulates the growth of fragile, leaky blood vessels beneath the macula. They cause swelling, rapid vision loss. In Avastin Injection there is a drug called bevacizumab which blocks VEGF because of that abnormal vessel growth stops and leakage reduces.
